Welcome Class of 2020

Robert Morris University welcomes the Class of 2020 to its Moon Township campus Thursday, August 25, starting at 8 a.m.
Approximately 880 first-time students, as well as 170 transfer students, will stream onto campus Thursday with their families, and the vast majority will move into campus housing. A total of 2,050 students will live on campus this fall, including 85 percent of incoming freshmen.
Other notable facts about the Class of 2020:
- The incoming class comes from 387 different high schools in 27 states and 15 countries.
- Transfer students come from 48 four-year colleges and 17 two-year colleges.
- Underrepresented minorities and international students comprise 20.5% of the incoming class, up from 16.5% last year.
New students are scheduled to move in until 1 p.m. Thursday. At 3 p.m., students and their families will gather in the Sewall Center Arena for New Student Convocation. There they will be officially welcomed into the RMU community by President Chris Howard, representatives of the Robert Morris faculty, and senior university administrators.
