-- NEC Tournament time for women's basketball. See Weekend Sports below for details on this Sunday's home playoff game.

-- Students Mary Funderlich and Dale Miller secured a $50,000 Colcom grant to build a tiny home on RMU's campus as part of an honors thesis project with management professor Marcel Minutolo. The tiny home will be donated to the Veterans Place of Washington Boulevard, a charity for homeless veterans. Read more here.

-- If you are a faculty member and would like to share your research, today is the last day to submit a poster proposal for the March 15 Research & Grants Expo at Sewall Center. The event is open to all and will feature a panel on predatory journals and a keynote from UPMC's chief innovation officer.

The featured speaker is Brenda Henwood, and she is the founder and owner of the FTBA (an electrical contracting company). With over 30 years of experience in education, sales, and entrepreneurship, she will be able to focus on the theme of "Women in Business & Industry."

RMU BASKETBALL COACHES SHOW...featuring head coach Andy Toole continues Monday from Cadillac Ranch in Settlers Ridge at 7 pm. The Voice of the Colonials Chris Shovlin and Coach Toole bring you up to date on all things Colonial Basketball! The show airs live each Monday through March 13 on the flagship station for RMU Basketball, 970 AM ESPN Pittsburgh as well as on the iHeart Radio mobile app, keyword RMU.

RMU HOCKEY COACHES SHOW...featuring head man Derek Schooley rolls on this Tuesday from The Hangar (500 Flaugherty Run Road/Moon) at 7 pm. Come and get the inside scoop on Robert Morris Hockey from the coach as well as radio announcers Mike Prisuta and Tim Benz. HOBEY BAKER AWARD NOMINEES...RMU forwards Brady Ferguson and Daniel Leavens are among the 66 players nationwide who have been nominated for college hockey's top award. Fans can cast their vote until March 5 by going to the Hobey Baker website http://www.hobeybaker.com/vote. Follow the prompts to make your selection from this year's outstanding crop of players representing 40 NCAA Division I schools.
