-- Senior biology and pre-med major Damian Di Florio is a recipient of the prestigious Alfred H. Nolle Scholarship, awarded by Alpha Chi National Honor Society to only 10 students across the nation annually. The $2,000 scholarship is available for individuals in the top 10 percent at their institution. Alpha Chi is a national organization that recognizes academic excellence, fosters student research and creativity, enriches campus dialogue, and engages in civic projects.
-- As the Penguins fight to keep Lord Stanley in Pittsburgh, two recent alumni are covering the action. TV/Video production major Jake Hartzfeld '16 is camera man and video editor for PensTV, while Brooks Bratten '13 is communications and content coordinator for the Predators. -- Twenty-six students from the School of Business recently returned from Japan and Taiwan after a two week study abroad trip through the Faculty Led Education Abroad Program. The students studied the business practices of the Eastern cultures and how they relate to accounting, finance, business management and economics here in the U.S.
-- Keep your eye out for emails to RSVP for the Women's Leadership Institute hosted by the Women's Leadership & Mentorship Program. Happening on Wednesdays this June, join us for lunch and a series of conversations led by local experts. All sessions will be held in the Ferry Room in Massey Hall from 12-1:30 p.m. Attendance will be limited to 20 participants at each session.
