-- RMU senior Mike Boylan, majoring in computer information systems, has co-authored an article at the Apple IT web site -- at the web site's invitation -- that aims to help Mac administrators adjust to the Mac operating system. Boylan works as RMU's Mac systems administrator, and he plans to earn a master's degree from RMU in competitive intelligence systems. You can read Mike's article here.

-- RMU is fighting for social media dominance in the Pittsburgh region -- and maybe even nationwide. The university is entered in the Pittsburgh Business Times' Social Media Madness competition, up against companies like Bayer, Quaker Steak and Lube, and Westinghouse. If we win  RMU has the opportunity to change lives through this contest. The winner in Pittsburgh moves on to the national competition, and that winner gets prize money to be donated to a charity of their choice. If all that weren't incentive enough, we are lining up RMU celebrities who have promised, should RMU emerge victorious, to eat one of the notorious Atomic wings at Quaker Steak and Lube in Robinson, one of our fiercest competitors. Thus far Andy Toole and Derek Schooley have agreed, if and only if RMU wins the Pittsburgh competition, and we are lining up others to do so as well.
