-- On Friday, Sept. 14, RMU will host a meeting of the IBM Regional Planning Group to discuss how to boost RMU's industry-leading enterprise systems programs. The meeting will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Pittsburgh Airport and will include faculty from RMU's School of Communications and Information Systems along with representatives from IBM, PNC, BNY-Mellon, Highmark, UPMC, Bayer, SDLC Partners, K&L Gates, and Blue Cross Blue Shield - South Carolina.
In response to the increased demand – and with the help of IBM -- this fall RMU began offering its M.S. in Information Security Assurance, including a concentration in enterprise systems, at its new RMU Downtown location at 339 Sixth Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh. Other options include the M.S. in Internet Information Systems, with a concentration in enterprise systems; the undergraduate Professional Certificate in Enterprise Systems; the graduate Professional Certificate in Enterprise Systems; and the B.S. in Computer Information Systems, with a concentration in enterprise systems. Some of the footage will be seen on an episode of Inspiring Lives with Dr. Shellie on PCNC Mondays at 7:30 p.m. starting Sept. 24. The students will be painting a jungle mural with Getrude Matshe, this semester's Rooney Visiting Internation Scholar, helping Elliven Spa and Treasure House Fashions with the mommy makeovers/family portraits by Firefly Studios Photography, and they will play with the children with donations from a toy drive led held by SESS.
-- Senior accounting and finance major Josh Blum is the ninth RMU student to earn a Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Next Generation internship stipend, worth $4,500. -- Homecoming, baby!
EDITOR'S NOTE -- You may have noticed that this week's Minuteman email was "sponsored" by the CEO Lecture Series. If you want your campus event or organization to sponsor the Minuteman, drop us a line at email@example.com. There is no cost, but if you happen to see a certain senior director of public relations in RoMo's, and you want to buy him a cup of coffee, he's not too proud to accept.
