-- Women's Leadership and Mentorship Program students Kelly Jones, Emily Nobers, Kylee Reyes, Cassidy Turner, and Brianna Wagner attended The American Association of University Women’s National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL) at the University of Maryland June 2 - 4. NCCWSL is where college women make their future what they want as it provides a transformative experience for attendees and prepares them to be the next generation of leaders. Each attendee becomes a part of the conference’s 30-year legacy. 

-- Students Megan DeArmit, Heather Rourke, and Alexis Walker were selected to participate in Chatham University's NEW Leadership Pennsylvania Summer Institute. The program was an intensive, non-partisan, six-day agenda that took place June 5 - June 10 at the Pennsylvania Center for Women and Politics (PCWP). During the summer institute, students met women leaders, learned about women in American politics, and developed and practiced leadership skills through panel discussions, workshops, and hands-on projects. 

-- Robert Morris University men's hockey senior Zac Lynch has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America second team, the second All-American honor of his career. Lynch was an Academic All-America third-team selection during his sophomore campaign and is the only Colonials men's hockey player to be an Academic all-American. 


-- Susan Hellier, associate professor of nursing, has the following podium presentations at State and National Conferences:

  • Podium presentation 13th Annual Pennsylvania Coalition of Nurse Practitioners Conference Lancaster, Pa. Evidence-Based Contraception for Patients with Complex Medical Conditions November 7, 2015  

-- Media Arts Professor Christine Holtz's large-scale diptych from her series “Wrack” was selected for inclusion in the Juried Visual Art Exhibition at the recent Three Rivers Arts Festival.

-- Carol MacPhail, head of the Department of Accounting and Taxation, was featured in CONNECT magazine, a publication of Deloitte, from which she retired in 2010 as a partner with Deloitte Tax LLP.

-- Margaret Rateau, visiting assistant professor of nursing, was inducted into the Brooke High School Wall of Excellence as a distinguished alumni. This distinguished award honors individuals whose deeds and character exemplify outstanding achievement in their life's work and/or service to their communities. The honorees character and leadership are worthy of recognition and have inspired praise and gratitude among his or her peers.
