-- Nominations are now being accepted until February 17 for the 2017 Woman of Achievement Award. The candidate should be an outstanding female student who knows how to set goals, accomplish tasks, and works well with others. She also is a student that represents Robert Morris University by contribution to not only the school community, but also outside communities by volunteering and participating in local events.  

Click here to fill out the form to complete a nomination. She will be recognized at this year’s Women’s History Month luncheon scheduled for Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the International Suite, Sewall Center.

PERSONAL MENTION

-- Gavin Buxton and Armand Buzzelli and their colleagues at Nicholls State University published an article in the journal The Physics Teacher. "Field Day at the Rec: Working Out with Physics" describes how RMU's Honors Physics and Sport Seminar uses innovative lab assignments that move students out of the classroom and into the gym.

-- RMU RISE Director Suzan Kardong-Edgren was selected as an inaugural Fellow in the Society for Simulation in Healthcare Academy. Selection was based on outstanding contributions to the development of SSH and to the field of healthcare simulation. Fellows serve as role models, mentors and ambassadors in healthcare simulation, contribute their time and talent to advance the mission and goals of SSH and the Academy, participate on internal and external invitational thinks tanks, advisory task forces and committees, and contribute to the growth of SSH and to the discipline of healthcare simulation.

-- You’re invited on behalf of the Residence Hall Association to this year’s Luau-themed Siblings Weekend 2017! RHA's Siblings Weekend is an annual event where RMU students are invited to bring their younger siblings/cousins/family friends onto the RMU campus for three-day weekend stuffed full of fun activities and events. Saturday, February 25th will have the most activities including events such as men's/women's basketball games, ice skating, a Luau and Tiki bar, balloon and caricature artists, hula dancing lessons, and MORE! Click here to register!

RMU BASKETBALL COACHES SHOW...featuring Robert Morris head coach Andy Toole continues Monday from Cadillac Ranch in Settlers Ridge at 7 pm. The Voice of the Colonials Chris Shovlin and Coach Toole bring you up to date on all things Colonial Basketball! The show airs live each Monday through March 13 on the flagship station for RMU Basketball, 970 AM ESPN Pittsburgh as well as on the iHeart Radio mobile app, keyword RMU.
