-- RMU's Master's of Science in Engineering Management program has been recognized as a top program by SuperScholar.org in its first annual Smart Choice ranking of the top 25 schools for online Engineering Management degree programs. RMU's program was ranked #24 overall. SuperScholar.org's Smart Choice rankings were designed to help prospective students choose where to earn their degree. Schools and programs are evaluated based on information about "accreditation, academic quality, student satisfaction, reputation in the field, and cost.

-- Open Enrollment for health insurance and other benefits is being held from Monday, May 6 through Friday, May 17, 2013.  NO ACTION is required if you want your current benefit elections to stay in place for June 1, 2013 through May 31, 2014.  If you want to make changes, log on to www.HRconnection.com 

-- The School of Engineering, Mathematics, and Science has published the spring edition of the school's newsletter .

-- The latest edition of RMU in the News has been published. Find out why Samantha Monda, Steve Foreman, Chris Nicholson and others were in the news in April.

-- Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald and DDI President Bob Rogers will be the keynote speakers at RMU's 88th commencement ceremonies Friday, May 10, and Saturday, May 11, in the Sewall Center Arena. Fitzgerald will speak at RMU’s graduate commencement ceremony at 4 p.m. May 10, when approximately 220 students will receive master’s and doctoral degrees. The following day, approximately 500 students will receive bachelor’s degrees at RMU’s undergraduate commencement ceremony starting at 9:30 a.m. Rogers, an emeritus member of the Board of Trustees, will be the keynote speaker and also will receive an honorary doctorate of humane letters from Robert Morris. Also speaking at the undergraduate ceremony will be Kiersten Metzger, president of the Class of 2013, who is earning a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. Athletics

For the third year in a row, the Northeast Conference Softball Championship comes to Moon Township, PA! Robert Morris was the No. 1 seed but lost Thursday to LIU Brooklyn. The Colonials remain alive in this double elimination tournament, which has an automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Tournament is on the line. Come out to the North Athletic Complex and support our Colonials!

Game Three -- Central Connecticut State vs. LIU Brooklyn (10:30 am)
Game Four -- Monmouth vs. RMU (1 pm)...elimination game
Game Five -- Winner Game Four vs. Loser Game Three (3:30 pm)...elimination game

Saturday, May 11...
Game Six -- Winner Game Three vs. Winner Game Five (noon)...Championship Game
Game Seven -- Championship Game (2:30 pm)...if necessary

Tickets can be purchased either at the gates on game day or by calling 412-397-4949. All NEC students with proper institutional I.D. will be admitted free. All other individuals will be charged an admission fee. Per day ticket prices are $6 for adults and $3 for those under 18. Children 10 years of age and under will be admitted free. Go Colonials!
