The mission of the Massey Center for Business Innovation and Development is to provide the tools and encouragement that Southwestern Pennsylvania's entrepreneurs need to effectively start-up and manage new businesses. The Massey Center works with clients to assure that new and recent business start-ups and organizations in need of renewal have the best possible chance of succeeding.

The Massey Center seeks to achieve this goal by creating vibrant community of entrepreneurs in the Pittsburgh region and beyond by providing education, research and consulting services to produce and develop entrepreneurs and innovative business practices by:

• Providing curricula that is responsive to the needs of aspiring and existing entrepreneurs
• Stimulating and encouraging entrepreneurship thinking and business start-ups among Robert Morris University students and others in the region
• Encouraging and assisting with performance improvement and growth among existing business organizations in Southwestern Pennsylvania
• Promoting academic research in support of business innovation and development
• Leveraging the Robert Morris University School of Business educational and research capabilities in support of the development of prosperous businesses and a regional business climate conductive to economic growth.
