The Leonard M Kokkila Center for Economic Education is a community outreach program of Robert Morris University promoting economic
education in Beaver, Fayette, Greene and Washington counties.

Economics America is the National Council for Economic Educations comprehensive economic education program.
The purpose of EconomicsAmerica is to prepare students to become:
- Productive members of the workforce;
- Responsible citizens;
- Knowledgeable consumers;
- Prudent savers and investors;
- Effective participants in the global economy; and
- Competent decision makers throughout their lives.
The Leonard M Kokkila Center for Economic Education provides a variety of services to promote the development of critical
thinking skills. The services include:
- Teacher training through economic workshops and seminars;
- Technical assistance in curriculum development and the implementation of standards and assessment instruments appropriate for individual school districts;
- The Stock Market Game;
- Intensive partnerships with individual school districts;
- The Business Plan Competition;
- A resource center to provide instructional materials in economic education; and
- Technical assistance in the development of financial literacy programs.
