CI339 - Human Computer Interaction

Fall 2001

This course provides the student with application experience through emphasis on the analysis and design concepts and the programming concepts necessary to create interactive information systems. These concepts include screen design, end-user psychology, hardware and software considerations, and file properties as they relate to complex on-line operations. Program design and development is addressed through the use of host languages, together with on-line screen development software such as POWER BUILDER. The student develops interactive application programs that can include on-line creation of a transaction file and updating of master files or databases in a real-time environment.
Prerequisites: CI324 or CI326 or CI328 or CI330 or CI336
