SPMG3412 - Resort Management

Fall 2011

This course provides the student with a comprehensive approach to resort property operations. The historical development of the resort concept, planning, financial investment management, facilities and program aspects and marketing strategies are presented and examined within the unique nature of this industry. Issues such as ecological and technological change, the impact of time share/condominium resorts and the relation of the travel and tourism industry are also discussed within the course.
Prerequisite: SPMG1010 or HTMG1010
