INFS6830 - Secure Programming Fall 2012 This course is designed to enable a student to take a proactive approach to computer security. Students learn to build programs which help get security right the first time. Emphasis is on software and software developers' practices which cause security problems, and instructions to make their code behave. This course provides expert perspectives and techniques to help ensure the security of essential software and, by considering threats and vulnerabilities early in the development cycle, the incorporation of security into a computer system. Emphases include determining an acceptable level of risk, developing security tests, and plugging security holes before software is even shipped. Prerequisite: INFS6490 3 Credits
