NURS3055 - Nursing Care-Children/Families
Fall 2012 This course provides theoretical perspective, science-based knowledge, and principles needed by students to guide their application of the Nursing process and choice of nursing interventions for children from infancy through adolescence who are experiencing physiological alterations. Emphasis is on the use of the nursing process to identify functional and dysfunctional health patterns in children within the context of the family system. Ethical and legal dimensions of caring for children and their families are discussed. The course includes clinical learning experiences in various settings. (3 lecture, 2 lab) Prerequisites: PSYC3550, NURS3015, NURS3020, NURS3030 and COSK2220 5 Credits |
