ELIT4800 - Seminar In English Studies
Spring 2014 This course enables senior English and English Education majors to analyze and synthesize the key issues of the discipline through detailed studies of literature and close readings of texts, considering their aesthetic values, social and political ideologies, rhetorical and genre strategies, and major biographical facts about the authors. Students compile annotated bibliographies, make oral presentations, write short papers analyzing critical problems, and write one 20-25 page scholarly essay based on their research. Prerequisites: Any ELIT course, COSK2230 and 75 credits, or permission of department head. 3 Credits |
