MBAD6160 - International Management

Summer 2014

This course concentrates on managerial issues in the area of global management. The modern business enterprise has no place to hide, but everywhere (global). To succeed corporations must use global strategies. In this course the students will be exposed to managerial strategies incorporating global realities. Trade theories, value of currencies, marketing strategies, accounting/tax applications, financial impact of global trade, models for trade, international organizations as GATT, WTO, International Banks and similar topics are covered in the three other courses offered in the concentration. This course concentrates on managerial issues that are applicable to global business. The concepts of globalization, cultural impact, intercultural communication strategy, structure and systems, social and political behaviors will be discussed in the course.
Prerequisite: MBAP5062 or equivalent
