MSNM6130 - Nonprofit Hum Resource Mgmt
Spring 2016
Course will focus on the human resource issues that impact non-profit organizations. Syllabus will include Fair Labor Standards compliance, EEOC issues, counseling and motivating employees, conflict resolution and employee discipline. Special attention will be focused on the hiring process including the current theories regarding the recruitment and selection process. The special challenges of working with volunteers will also be addressed. Course will cover current theory and application techniques through the use of case studies, critical writing and on-line research. 3 credits
