THEA2010 - Shakespeare and Performance
Spring 2016
Students will explore the plays of Shakespeare and how they are interpreted and illuminated in performance by directors, actors and designers. Emphasis will be placed on multiple film and live performances of Shakespearean texts. Students will learn actor's approach to analyzing Shakespeare though scansion. A culminating activity will be performing in Shakespearean scenes. Some of these scenes will be taken to local high schools as part of RMU's "Shakespeare Project."
