HSAM6600 - Managing Health Organizations
Summer 2016
This course allows the student to pursue an in-depth study of health care institutions/organizations, their structure, types of care provided, operationalstrategy, and enviornment. A major emphasis will be on understanding and analyzing the roles and functions of managing health services organizations within the context of the operational enviornment and its impact. The Management Model for HSOs will serve as the contextual model for the course. Expert guest speakers will serve to introduce the different types of institutions/organizations and Management Model for HSOs as the basis for analysis and discussion.
