ASCI4200 - Statistical Modeling I

Spring 2017

This course is the first of a three course sequence in applied statistics. Topics include the basic statistical sampling distributions (normal, gamma, student-t, chi-squared and F), point and interval estimation of parameters, hypothesis testing, single variable and multivariate linear regression, autoregressive and moving-average (ARIMA) time series, and related statistical testing. This course is designed to satisfy the VEE (verification by educational experience) requirement of the Society of Actuaries in Applied Statistical Methods. PREREQUISITES: STAT 3140 and STAT 3150 or permission of the instructor
