The first fully online master's degree from the region's most experienced provider of adult education, RMU's M.S. in
Organizational Studies allows you to complete your master's degree on your schedule, from anywhere in the world. And, if you are a
local professional who would prefer some face-to-face contact, a hybrid delivery option is also available, featuring a combination
of online and classroom study.
About the Program
Employers and experts agree that the most important skills in the workplace are often not taught in traditional degree
programs: interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, leadership, problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, emotional
intelligence and the ability to work in a diverse environment. RMU's M.S. in Organizational Studies will provide you with all of
these essential skills.
The program combines the academic rigor of a master's degree with an emphasis on communication, technology skills and applied
learning. You'll study organizations and the personnel who manage them, including communications, ethics, structure, change,
leadership, legal issues, critical thinking and decision-making. You'll not only learn theoretical concepts, but also their
real-world application. You'll be encouraged and, in fact, required to bring problems you're experiencing in the workplace to
the classroom and use the knowledge and skills you've learned to create a workable and immediate solution. In short, you'll gain
the necessary skills to succeed in any work environment.
The program offers two areas of concentration: Leadership and Employee Relations.

In the M.S. in Organizational Studies program, you will:
