RMU and Financial Service Standards to Again Offer 401k Service Training Program

Financial Service Standards, LLC (FSS), a Pittsburgh company devoted to identifying and raising the service standards of financial professionals, will again team up with Robert Morris University's (RMU) School of Adult and Continuing Education in 2007 to offer the 401k Service Training Program for financial professionals.

The first offering of the two-day program will take place Feb. 8-9, with subsequent offerings June 18-19, Aug. 20-21, and Nov. 5-6. All of the programs will occur from 7:30 a.m.- 5 p.m. in the Sewall Center located on RMU's Moon Township campus.

Open to financial professionals with at least three years of industry experience, the 401k Service Training Program was developed to help fill a need by plan sponsors and fiduciaries to address shortfalls in their service plans. The course features a turn-key service model and more than150 tools and templates for advisors to use in conjunction with sponsors, with twelve continuing education credit hours available to CFP designees and twelve CPE credits hours in the area of advisory services available to CPAs.

Professionals who complete the 16-hour course and pass a comprehensive final exam will be awarded the designation of Professional Plan Consultant (PPC). The cost for the two-day course, including training, materials, meals, hotel, designation and licensing fee, is $3000.
