Course Description

This course provides the student with knowledge of the analysis, design, implementation, and management of local area networks (LANs). Current technologies that include hardware, software, and protocols are presented, and an emphasis is placed on the application of the technology to the solution of problems. Other topics include the definition of network requirements, evaluation of technology, design and installation of the network, security management, and network performance. Hands-on experiences are provided with an actual LAN.

Prerequisite: INFS2210 (CI366) or INFS2211 (CI365)
