Course Description
This theory course continues with the diagnosis and management of primary health care needs and chronic problems of adults commonly encountered in primary health care settings begun in NURS9XXX Diagnosis and Management of Adults I. The course prepares family nurse practitioners to assume responsibility for health promotion, disease prevention, early detection and management of common chronic health conditions of adults and their families in primary health care settings. The course emphasizes pathophysiology of the condition, etiology and incidence, clinical findings, differential diagnosis, management, complications and preventive and patient education measures.
