The use of hypothesis driven inquiry with opportunities to develop problem solving abilities is promoted. Developmental characteristics of adolescence, young adulthood and middle adulthood and old age and issues related to pharmacologic therapies and alternative and complimentary medicine are discussed. Women as care provider and patient and the partnership between care providers and women are explored.
