Course Description
This course covers the design and improvement of single and multistage production systems. It integrates standard production planning and scheduling decisions in production systems with modern systems concepts and engineering methods for implementing time-based competition lean manufacturing, and supply chain management. In addition to providing an analytical basis for understanding various planning models, the course also provides hands-on engineering topics for process/system improvement. Students in this course muct be enrolled in its lab ENGR4015 at the same time.
