Course Description

The course examines the federal estate and gift tax laws, including such topics as imposition of the estate tax, the determination of estate tax liability, and the factors involved in computing the gross estate and taxable estate. Similar considerations are given to the gift tax, as well as the tax on generation skipping transfers. Administrative provisions and procedural rules applicable to the estate, gift, and generation skipping transfer taxes are studied.
