Course Description

This course is designed to give students specific exposure to developing actuarial models and analyzing the types of data that are relevant to various areas of actuarial science, including life insurance, health insurance, property/casualty insurance (general insurance) and pensions Students will do this through a variety of projects using a combination of statistical and financial methods with a focus on the manipulation and analysis of the types of data commonly encountered by actuaries in practice.

Prerequisites: ASCI2010, INFS1020 and STAT3140
