Course Description

This is a laboratory/field course that exposes students to the appropriate use, calibration and design of portable field equipment used in industrial hygiene investigations. Students become familiar with the operation of the equipment in the field and laboratory settings. Air, water, sound and temperature conditions, among others, in buildings and other structures are monitored to provide hands-on demonstrations of equipment use. Students qualify data collected and prepare reports relevant to the collection methods utilized and in compliance with the industry and governmental standards applicable to the system analyzed.

Prerequisite: CHEM3500
