This is an advanced course in environmental science. This course will explore advanced topics in ecology, focusing on topics of particular importance for the environmental science discipline. The overall theme of the course will involve applying the ecological concepts covered in class to identifying and solving environmental problems. The course will explore aquatic and wetland ecology, biogeochemistry, ecosystem ecology, techniques in ecological research, and industrial ecology.
