Course Description

This course will provide a broad overview of the different disciplines the oil and gas industry consists of, focusing on environmental and land/business topics that induce oil and gas development. The purpose of this course will be to provide a general understanding of the foundation on which energy companies build their businesses, and how the multiple disciplines interact with one another to develop natural resources. Land topics will include the determination of mineral/oil & gas ownership, curing title defects, negotiating leases, and calculating mineral and royalty interests.
