Course Description

This course focuses on diagnostic reasoning as a framework to synthesize knowledge from a comprehensive assessment of primary care patients throughout the lifespan. Emphasis will be on the techniques and processes of performing a physical, mental, developmental, and nutritional assessment, obtaining a health history, and recording findings. Recognition and interpretation of clinical assessment data will be used to develop differential diagnosis related to common conditions seen in primary care and utilized in providing health promotion and counseling.
