Course Details

This course is connected to the Navajo Nation Service Learning trip to run from May 13-June 1, 2013. Students who plan to participate in the trip are required to take the course; however, students may take the course and not go on the trip. The cost of the service learning trip is in addition to tuition.

Course Description

This course enables students to identify and distinguish different systems of world renowned formal thinking and to survey the development of these formal philosophers. Students analyze these systems through oral presentations and in writing; analyze basic political concepts derived from these philosophers; and develop appreciation for various cultural values and mores emanating from these philosophers.
