This course deals with equity method of accounting for investments, consolidations, segment reporting, foreign currency transactions and hedging, international standards, SEC and Sarbanes-Oxley act, legal reorganizations, non-profit accounting and estates and trusts. This course guides students towards applying quantitative analytical skills to business decision making, and understanding and analyzing the financial reports. It presents complex accounting topics building upon the knowledge from previous courses, and guides the students towards professional certification exams. It enhances the ability to create, analyze and evaluate accounting communications.
