Course Description
This course explores current information systems concepts and technologies incorporated in various types of organizations. The systems studied highlight the processes of creation, storage and collaboration of information. Students will be given hands-on experience with many different types of software and will develop strategies for the selection of the appropriate technology to meet the information needs of various organizations. The managerial side of computer information systems will be stressed, along with the skill set needed to manage information systems subordinates.
