Robert Morris University Dining Services is committed to providing a best in class dining experience for the RMU community. We proudly offer the freshest ingredients sourced from local farms, and prepared by our passionate chefs for well-rounded meal options that meet the needs of a dynamic campus life.
Robert Morris University requires all non-commuter resident students to purchase a dining plan since we believe that a sense of community and a commitment to healthy eating are both key to the success of our students.
Your official RMU photo ID is your key to campus dining. It must be used for all meal plans and can also be loaded with Colonial Cash funds to save the 7% sales tax at any campus food service location.
Our dining locations provide convenient gathering places for our campus community, where our chefs are able to deliver delicious, healthy meals, which can be carefully tailored to accommodate the individual dietary needs of every student.
Our locations are designed to maximize the potential for students to meet, study, and eat together. For the convenience of our students, everything sold in our dining locations can be purchased using meal plan dollars.

The Salad Bar and Soup Bar
Expect to create heaping salads with the freshest toppings, fruits, assorted grains and dressings that are meals in themselves! A Greek yogurt bar is offered with a fresh variety of yogurts and seasonal toppings during the breakfast period. Pre-made salad choices will also be available.
Crowd Pleasers is a unique rotating station that offers a different variety each day of the week. Guests can enjoy stations like Taqueria where you can create your own tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. BBQ Pit which offers smoked brisket, pulled pork sandwiches, homemade macaroni & cheese, baked beans, etc. Another station that is widely popular offered is Chicken Shack where you will find Baked and Fried Chicken, Popcorn Chicken and our most popular Chicken Mashed Potato Bowl. Many other stations are also rotated in to offer more variety.
Rustica features pizza that takes on a real Rustic Italian feel and taste. Individual pizzas are offered with gourmet toppings, such as fresh Italian meats, cheeses, and sauces, which will be coming out of the flaming open hearth oven piping hot. Fresh baked pasta casseroles, calzones, and fresh breadsticks are also offered and are prepared in the hearth oven offering a large variety of specials and options. Alongside the pizzas you will find many different pasta options including stuffed shells, pasta primavera, and pasta bowls with the choice of Alfredo, Pomodoro sauce and a rotating specialty sauce. Top each of your pasta bols with a variety of fresh toppings. Examples of offerings available on a rotation are roasted vegetables, bruschetta topping, Tuscan white beans, mushrooms, arugula, spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, caponata, artichokes, faro, banana peppers and roasted red peppers.
Spoon and Fork
Spoon and Fork offers a variety of classic entrees and sides. Included in this menu will be American comfort foods, international cuisine, vegetarian, and seasonal options to round out the entire program.
Bravissimo offers many different options throughout the week. Options such as Bento Bowl offers a large variety of fresh vegetables, noodles, rice, and sauces for guests to choose from. The guest will then watch as their choices are prepared to order in front of them. Egg rolls, pot stickers and won tons are home made. Additionally The Colonial Carvery features fresh carved items at lunch and dinner on weekdays with appropriate side dishes. Examples of carved items are top round of beef, prime rib of beef, beef strip loin, salmon, pork loin, duck, turkey, suckling pig flank steak, and lamb roast. Sides will include homemade mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, assorted rice, and pasta. On Friday’s we celebrate “Fun Friday” where you can indulge on items such as Ice Cream Brownie Sundaes, Warm Banana Bread ala mode, create your own hand dipped milkshakes, pumpkin ice cream sandwich, and much more.
The Firehouse Grill offers grilled and fried entrees for the students to enjoy. Local products such as the farm raised boneless chicken breast, from the Farm Source Program, always provides the freshest and tastiest product available. In addition, turkey burgers, vegetarian burgers and specialty items are available, such as fresh hand cut steaks, fresh seafood, and other upscale choices.
Freshens and the Bakery
Freshëns Fresh Food Studio is a healthy “fast casual” concept, which offers prepared to order food inspired by fresh ingredients, as well as our signature fresh blended smoothies. Menu choices include grilled flatbreads, rice bowls, crispy crepe salads, toasted wraps and smoothies. Our fresh, baked in house desserts are also offered in the bakery case next to Freshëns.
On The Go
On the Go items and fresh, on site made sushi are offered in the PNC Colonial Café.

RoMo's Cafe offers an inviting, casual dining option. Students can enjoy freshly made on the go sandwiches, salads, and wraps, in addition to a selection of savory coffees and teas, hot evening specials, and a full line of convenience items.
Convenience items are offered with the variety of products changing as new products are introduced in the market.
Lower Level Yorktown Hall

Yorktown Café offers fresh made breakfast sandwiches each morning. Specialty grilled cheese and soup and lunch specials are offered during the lunch hour. From 5:00 PM through midnight, a full menu of student favorites is offered including gourmet beef burgers and chicken burgers using meat ground in house. Wings, rustic pizzas, salads, wraps and desserts round out the menu.
On the Go items and beverages are offered from 7:00 AM through midnight on weekdays and 9:00 AM through midnight on weekends.
A hand dipped milkshake bar offers homemade ice cream in a variety of flavors and specialty blends. You may also indulge in a root beer float to go with your meal.

The Hale Cafe offers the Starbuck's We Proudly Serve coffee program and fresh campus baked pastries. In addition, On the Go salad, sandwich, and sushi choices are being offered to provide students a convenient meal option during their busy day between classes. Frappuccinos from Starbuck’s. This popular cold beverage will be blended to order with a variety of flavor choices.

The Wheatley Café offers fresh made On the Go choices, convenience items, heat ‘n serve entrees, beverages and fresh made sushi throughout the day.
Chef’s Table is the highlight from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM offering favorite daily specials, chef prepared out front for all to see.

Fresh made to order sandwiches and salads are featured for our guests visiting the Bistro. Grab and Go items and a variety of sports drinks are popular options.
Home-made dough is used for the pizzas prepared in the open hearth oven. Pizzas are available by the slice or by the pie.
Starbuck’s coffee is brewed for those looking to warm up after watching their favorite skater.
