1.0 Policy
1.1 It is the policy of Robert Morris University to provide a leave of absence when operational circumstances permit employees to be away from the workplace for health, personal, educational, military, bereavement, family, and jury duty reasons.
2.0 Scope
2.1 This policy applies to full-time and regular part-time employees, where identified.
3.0 Procedure
3.1 Educational Leave (full-time employees only)
3.1.1 A leave of up to one year may be granted for employees to meet the demands of curriculum that cannot be met during off work hours.
3.1.2 All educational leaves must be approved by the vice president and department manager responsible for the area.
3.1.3 Educational leaves cannot be partial leaves and are unpaid.
