The Mission
SEMS-ROC will assist faculty and students in securing research opportunities, grant writing and real world learning experiences. The Center will also promote STEM outreach to the community.
History
Robert Morris University established the School of Engineering, Mathematics and Science in 1999 and embarked upon a vigorous community outreach program to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). SEMS created a research center (the Center for Research in Engineering and Science or RMU-CARES) in 2002. In 2010, SEMS Dean, Maria Kalevitch, combined these two endeavors to create SEMS-ROC.
