Dr. Sara Nyobe, Spring 2018 Rooney Scholar, is an Associate Professor in Human Resources Management, most recently at RMU’s international partner, the EM Strasbourg Business School, Strasbourg, France. She received her Ph.D. in Management Science in 2014 and her Masters degree in Labour Economics and Human Resource Management in 2009, both from Aix-Marseille University (France). Since her 2014 thesis defense, she was affiliated with the Institute of Labour Economics and Industrial Sociology (LEST-CNRS 7317) within Aix-Marseille University as a Research Associate, as well as an Adjunct lecturer at the University. Her primary research subject is the management of individual identities in an international working environment. Her research interests also include cross-cultural management, International Human Resources management, religious accommodation, and cultural dominance. Since 2015, Dr. Nyobe has been publishing articles in highly-ranked management reviews in France and internationally (including International Management and Revue Management et Avenir). In addition, she is the co-author of a pedagogical book in Management and Management control for Masters’ students (published in September 2017). For the past 8 years, she has taught courses in Human Resources Management, skill management, theory of organizations, and interpersonal communication and will be hosted by the RMU School of Business.
