This is a non-credit field experience course co-requisite with EDUC2000 "Schools and Society." EDUC2000 provides teacher candidates with an introduction to teaching and an understanding of American education with respect to its history, societal influences, underlying philosophies, and today's instructional approaches. In addition, candidates begin their exploration of the teaching profession through two required field experiences and professional activities. Students seeking initial certification through Robert Morris University must also register for EDUC0200 to complete their field experience assignments. For those students who enroll in this study abroad program, the Belize experience will serve as their field experience component.
