Student Activities
In addition to the many major, minor, and degree options, the school is home to many activities which are open to all undergraduates at RMU, and which provide personal enrichment, career enhancement, and just plain fun. The Colonial Theatre provides on-stage and backstage opportunities in an exciting range of musical, comedic, and dramatic productions. The Academic Media Center offers a wide range of television and video production opportunities, allowing you to become part of RMU-TV, our campus cable station, in news, talk, or campus events coverage, or in learning field production skills at our production center. The Sentry is RMU’s student-produced campus newspaper. Students learn reporting skills, beat coverage, and editorial decision-making in a real-life deadline-sensitive news operation. Center for Documentary Production and Study is the only undergraduate documentary film production center in the region. You can be part of the very successful faculty-student team which has produced eleven major documentaries to date, shown in public venues and TV stations throughout the region.
