Student Engagement Transcript (SET)
At RMU, learning doesn't happen only in the classroom. It happens every day, in every part of your RMU life. And when it does, it's captured on your Student Engagement Transcript (SET).
The SET formally documents your participation in experiential learning—the kind that occurs outside of the classroom. As a companion to your academic transcript, the SET is an official university endorsement of your leadership roles, community service hours, international study trips, internship experiences, and much more.
Employers want to see that you're involved in activities and gaining real-world experience that can give you an edge in the workforce. The SET shows potential employers that you are enthusiastic and willing to learn and try things that may be outside of your comfort zone. It shows that you'll be a valuable employee. If you choose, the SET will be provided to employers and graduate schools that request a copy of your academic transcript. Together, these two documents will demonstrate how you applied what you learned in the classroom to situations you encountered beyond the classroom.
The SET also helps you foster closer relationships with your professors and instructors by giving you opportunities to share experiences with them. Whether working side-by-side with your professor in a community service project or spending time with them overseas on an international study trip, the SET will help develop friendships and mentorships that will last a lifetime.
Students must fulfill the requirements of at least two of the first six categories (see below) during their time at RMU in order to graduate.
