Meka was the first in her family to graduate from college. She chose Robert Morris University because of the solid reputation of its business programs. While here, she interned at the U.S. Steel Corporation and served as a board member on the Undergraduate Advisory Committee for AACSB International

Meka recognized early on that her professors are really passionate about what they do and that they will try to go out of their way to help you achieve the goals you are trying to achieve. "All the opinions that I got," says Meka, "was ‘Go to Robert Morris – it’s definitely going to look good on your resume."
