Tia Gaston started out at Robert Morris University studying environmental science, but then she decided to change course a little. She jumped at the RMU pre-med program's offer of guaranteed acceptance for qualifying students to Drexel University School of Medicine/Allegheny General Hospital, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Palmer College of Chiropractic.

Another offer took Tia totally by surprise. That was when the dean drove her and her classmates to Philadelphia and Erie to visit their possible future medical schools. "They always make provisions for us to do things we may not be able to do otherwise, especially Dr. Kalevitch. She is truly dedicated to helping her students," Tia says.
