Industry Collaborations

Internships

Every engineering graduate must complete an employment experience that counts for class credit. The department works closely with students during their last two years to make sure that they get a hands-on -- and paid -- taste of what it's like to work as an engineer.

The University provides assistance for finding internships through the PPG Industries Career and Leadership Development Center and the use of the ColonialTRAK interactive employment database. Additional contacts are constantly being sought through the engineering department's faculty members and administrators.

Center for Applied Research in Engineering & Science

The Center for Applied Research in Engineering and Science provides students with the opportunity to work with their professors on real-world engineering projects. The center provides technical and consulting services to local industries.
