Jaclyn came to Robert Morris University because she was looking for a small, private institution that would give her the opportunity to expand her knowledge in history and continue her rowing career. She got all that and more—way more.

In addition to landing internships with WQED Pittsburgh (PBS) and the Pittsburgh Community World War II Veterans Outreach Program, she also spent a summer studying the poets Joyce and Yeats in Dublin, Ireland. She was also an active member of several student organizations, such as the History Club, College Democrats, Alpha Phi Omega Community Service Fraternity, National Council for the Social Sciences, and the American Historical Association. “Being a part of the School of Social Sciences is like being a part of a close knit family where we have learned to trust each other,” she says. “You are not just a number in the enrollment total, you are an individual who is respected and encouraged to succeed.”
