 Lee Folk SNHS

Lee came from a small town with an even smaller high school. His graduating class only had four students, two of which came to Robert Morris University. He chose RMU for the strong reputation of its School of Nursing, knowing that it would give him the clinical experience he needed to succeed.

I say, if you're man enough to do nursing—go for it!

Although most of his nursing school classmates are female, he says that there's a lot that guys can contribute to the profession. You can stand out as man here in RMU's nursing program, which Lee sees as a big advantage. "We have fun with what we're doing," he says. "It's a really fun occupation. I always enjoy going to clinical and going to school."

( Lee recently returned from Nicaragua, where a group of RMU nursing students travel twice yearly to provide basic health care to residents in the barrio around the capital of Managua. The trip is led by Carl Ross, university professor of nursing at RMU. Read Lee's journal entries.)
