Asana.com

What it is

Asana.com is cloud-based project management software that allows you to easily manage projects, create multiple workspaces, collaborate, assign tasks and communicate.  There's no software to download - you only need to the Internet and a Web browser to get to your account.

How it works

Create a free account at Asana.com.  If you have a Google account, you can use that to register.  You'll then be taken to your workspace, where you can create new projects and tasks to your heart's content.  Be sure to visit the Help Center (link located in bottom left of workspace) to learn the basics and find out about features and best practices.

How to use it

Asana is easier to learn than a lot of project management tools.  It's great for simple "to do" lists or to manage complicated projects.  People use Asana to manage projects, task lists and even as a lightweight customer relationship management (CRM) database.  Watch some videos that show you how people use Asana (How to Use It tab).

How much it costs

Asana is free for teams that have up to 30 members.  After that, a premium workspace starts at $100/month and up.
