Changes to Microsoft’s TechSoup.org software donation program are coming in July 2010

As of July 1, 2010, Microsoft is increasing the retail prices on its most popular software packages by approximately 40%.  Techsoup.org, who manages the Microsoft software donation program for nonprofits, is also increasing its administrative fees on Microsoft purchases as of July 1, 2010.

Fortunately, the fees will still remain affordable in comparison to the retail cost of these software packages.  For example, the administrative fee for Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007 will increase from $20 to $31 per license.
