TechNow 2011 Conference News

TechNow 2011, the Bayer Center’s annual nonprofit technology conference, will be held on Thursday, October 27, at Robert Morris University’s Sewall Center, Moon Township.  We are looking forward to another great day of learning, networking, and fun!

This year, we are pleased to feature John Kenyon as our keynote speaker!  John is a principal at John A. Kenyon Consulting and Adjunct Faculty at the University of San Francisco.  Back by popular demand, John gave an engaging breakout session at last year’s TechNow entitled Creating Online Evangelists: How to Excite and Motivate Your Supporters Online.  What will he talk about at TechNow 2011?  Stay tuned - more information is coming soon!

Call for Session Proposals

We are now accepting proposals for breakout sessions at TechNow 2011.  If you have an idea for a breakout session, let us know!  Sessions are generally 75 minutes in length, with digital projection equipment and Internet access provided.

  • Session Title
  • Session Description
  • Name(s) of Speaker(s)
  • Three (3) Session Take-aways
  • Your contact information – email address and phone number

The due date for proposals is Friday, July 22.

Note:  Peer learning is important to the Bayer Center.  As such, preference will be given to staff that work with technology in some capacity at a nonprofit.  Vendors that serve nonprofits may submit session proposals, but we strongly recommend that a co-presenter from a nonprofit organization be included.  The Bayer Center reserves the right to accept or reject proposals at its discretion.  Notification about session proposal acceptance/rejection will take place in late July.
